WEAR IT PURPLE DAY 2022
Wear It Purple Day is coming up on Friday, Aug 26, team. Join us as we take it back to our traditions and turn our buns purple for the day. We’re also donating $1 from every burger sold to the legends at Minus18, Australia’s charity dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth.
All donations from Wear It Purple Day 22 from Huxta will go directly toward Minus18 and their epic work towards creating free safe spaces and events for LGBTQIA+ youth across Australia. With 97% of attendees reporting an improvement in their mental wellbeing, after attending a Minus18 event, these events create a lasting, real impact on the lives of LGBTQIA+ young people.
Why do we go purple? With 66% of LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing harassment due to their identity, celebrating Wear It Purple Day sends a vital message of support and sparks ongoing inclusion, for young queer people. Here at Huxta, we proudly celebrate diversity and inclusion in everything we do. We stand by our team and strive to create a safer, more inclusive Australia for all.
All dine-in, takeaway, online and delivery orders will be raising funds, so everyone can get involved, no matter which state you’re in. Purple buns not your thing? No worries. All burger sales will contribute to this epic cause!
